Just to let you know that the 1923 Model T known as the Limey, has arrived back in Long Island, it had been shipped to Ocala in January 2015, it then took part in the Winter Tour in Florida , then onto Jacksonville to visit Amelia Island and friends, before being stored in Jacksonville until until July, we then collected the car, she started immediately and we drive from Jacksonville to Chattanooga, 520 miles in two and a half days, then did the 020 reunion tour, which was great, then my buddy Ralph from the UK drove the car to Leesburg VA, approx 900 miles, I then collected the car and drive to Hershey for the Fall meet.
After a great week meeting friends old and new in Hershey, we set off on Friday last.
Christine and I set off for Long Island NY , staying overnight near Jersey city due to a major storm, road works, then early Saturday the 10 th October we drove though the city, Holland tunnel (scary), over the Brooklyn bridge into NY city and then through the parkways to East setauket long island , home for the winter with Gary and Val.
I estimate the car has covered around 2500 since March, only issues, steering linkages changed, 4 new tyres at Coker tyre in Chattanooga, water, gas and oil changes, the electric starter failed yesterday in NYC, but will be repaired soon, the New York State inspection was also passed yesterday in Long Island .
What a car, what a model T , around 15,000 miles since she left NYC on the 020 tour in 2009,
Looking forward to meeting everyone again in 2016,
Larry the Limey, Christine Limey and all who helped keep her running and looked after her over the past 6 years.
