Hello to all of our Ocean to Ocean Family members from the “HILLS OF TENESSEE”.


HOSPITALITY ROOM: Driver/Registration Meeting - Pizza Party beginning 5:30 PM, Sunday Evening, 6/14 at Hampton Inn Meeting Room. Information Packets will be distributed fruit, cheese, cracker and vegetable platters, bottle water and a verity of sodas will be provided. We have the meeting room until 8:30 PM to reconnect, catch-up, enjoy the food, fellowship and participate in a contest. Prizes will be awarded.



            Gas – 7 stations - Shell, BP (2), Midnite Oil, Raceway, Mapco & Murphy USA

            Groceries – Bi-Lo, Publix & Walmart Super Center

            Fast Food – McDonalds, Burger King, Wendy’s, Hardy’s, Arby’s, Taco Bell,

                              Bogangles, Subway, Sonic, Little Caesars, Pizza Hut, Dominos, Krystal, 58 BBQ Two

            Restaurant – Cracker Barrel, Waffle House, Western Sizzler Steak House,

                                     Emmanuels (Italian American), China Rose (Chinese), Zaxby

            Specialty – Walmart, Dollar General, O’Reilly’s Auto Parts, Ace Hardware, Post Office            


REGISTRATION:   As February 15th, we have 14 cars and 29 people listed. 4 UK, 4 CT,

                                    2 OH, 2 MI, 1 TN, 10 VA, 2 GA, 2 PA, 2 NY


GUESTS: Antique Auto, non O-2-O friends will be welcome to join us up to two months

 before our tour. You may extend this newsletter and an invitation to them.


VEHICLE INSPECTION: Each Driver/Owner is and will be responsible to inspect their vehicle prior to the tour and to correct any and all issues before the start of the tour.


AAA MEMBERSHIP: Membership in AAA (800) 222-1134 is recommended because there is NO VULTURE WAGON for this tour. An alternative is Midnite Oil Gas Station (423) 643-1111 which is next to the hotels and has a flat bed tow truck that cost $85.00 per tow.


TOUR INSURANCE: I will need the MTFCI Membership # for one attendee for each car to have the tour covered by the MTFCI Club insurance. If you are not a member call or email me to get an application. The fee is $35.00 annually.

Wednesday – Tunnel Hill - Chickamauga National Military Park - Rock City Gardens


Thursday – Incline Railway - Chattanooga Choo Choo (Lunch) Armando’s – Best

                 Burgers in town - Kayo Erwin Auto Collection

Friday – Raccoon Mountain Reservoir – (Lunch) Cracker Barrel at Look Out Valley –

            Tennessee Valley Railroad – (Closing Dinner) Dockside Café (Harrison Bay

             State Park)

Tennessee Aquarium – a “World Class” multi level facility that is award winning, a must “seen to be believed”

Coker’s Antique Auto Collection – Large collection at the offices of the Coker Tire Co

Overlook Park*- Civil War Observation Post Spectacular view of Chattanooga and Tennessee River Valley


Tunnel Hill – Civil War Railroad Tunnel site

Chickamauga National Military Park* - National Park Service Civil War Battle site

Rock City Gardens* - Take in 7 states on a clear day. Enjoy beautiful gardens & rock formations


Lookout Mountain Incline Railway and Point Park – World’s Steepest Passenger Railway, 1 mile long, 72.7% grade built in 1895 and National Park Service’s Point Park location of Civil War “Battle above the Clouds” in 1863. 

Chattanooga Choo Choo – Photo opportunity of engine and restored 1909 train station

Kayo Erwin Auto Collection – Large private collection of cars and auto memorabilia 


Raccoon Mountain Reservoir - Tennessee Valley Authority mountain top water supply with overlook Visitor Center.

Tennessee Valley Railroad – 1 hour ride, include tour of repair shop and see engine turned around on turntable
