Clara is almost ready to hit the road

Thanks to the hard work of several friends, Clara is almost ready to hit the road again. She has a new wooden frame, the sheet metal has a fresh coat of glossy black paint, the hogs head was rebuilt (the wreck broke it!), and she is even sporting a new interior. Dan would be proud of his friends. He was able to complete so much of the restoration, then his illness took most of his energy. Sad news - Dan Crane - rescue trailer driver for race passed away 3-22-12

Dear friends

Dan Crane, my husband, mechanic and best friend died last Thursday after a battle with pancreatic cancer. We had such a wonderful time on the "race" and he really enjoyed rescuing all of us along the way. He died at home with friends and family at his side.

The weekend before his passing, he was able to direct the continued restoration of our Coupe "Clara" that was damaged on the tour at Rawlins, Wyoming. We have a number of friends, including fellow Ocean to Ocean…

Clara gets a new body

The 1922 Coupe wrecked on I80 outside Rawlins, Wy is finally going to get a new body. The first half of the body kit arrived today - the rest of the kit will arrive later this week. We have rebuilt the chassis. The hogshead was broken and the frame bent from the impact - and just about every piece of the body was broken or split. So this is pretty exciting! Gail Crane

Thanks to all of our fellow Model T'ers for your support and help following our accident on I-80 as we approached exit to our hotel in Rawlins. We were hit from behind by a semi sized truck who was passing another truck on the right. Both Jann and I are sore and bruised, but otherwise fine. Clara on the other hand is badly damaged and is unable to continue.

Our friends have been kind enough to take all of the pink ribbons and put them on their cars so they will make it all the way to… Continue

Team Louisianna Are Raising Funds for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation

Gail and Jann are "selling" pink ribbons to raise awareness, and funds, for the Greater Lansing Susan G. Komen for the Cure organization. The magnetic ribbons are signed by the donor, and they are placed on the Model T and will remain there for the duration of the trip from Manhattan to Seattle.
