1922 Touring

Dolph Cramer

1922 Touring purchased in 1947 from a junk dealer for $50. At the time the dealer had no T's in the scrap yard, but he offered to get me whatever style I wanted, so I chose the touring. Lots of T's were sitting around in fields back then.

Seattle to Florida

Peter Macalister and Ian Evans returned from England to Seattle in early Sept, having persuaded me to let them drive my Lizzy all the way to Florida! The car had been in Evergreen Ford's showroom since our finish in July, right next to a Shelby. Meanwhile, our old friend Lynn Rehn had learned to drive a T, and is a T convert, now looking to buy one!

Dolph; let me know if you need assistance with the logistics, I'm a retired Suffolk Police Sergeant and can reach to the top of the city department. I worked the police motorcycle for many years and retired in 2000 after 30 years with the dept. I look forward to meeting you. We too are busy with our car and details for the trip. I heard that there will be an English film crew doing the entire trip with us, may be doing a documentary....Gary

Dolph; So, we have two Long Islanders going on the run..I'm Gary Foerster from Setauket, I will be part of a british team called Team LIMEY. We will be driving a 1923 Model T Touring car. Our lead driver is Larry Riches, a close friend from England. I pass S.Hampton often on our way to our daughters in East Hampton. My son in law has a dental office in Wainscott. Good luck on the run. Our team is still in the process of getting our ducks in a row...Gary
